Kennedy Kuntz is a New Orleans- based singer whose rich, soaring vocals uniquely combine elements of pop, soul, country, and New Orleans R&B. In the same vein as artists like Adele and Amy Winehouse, her live shows pay homage to classic American music while also featuring distinctive renditions of contemporary songs.
Kennedy was born in St. Petersburg, Florida, In 2017, she moved to the Crescent City. Inspired by New Orleans singers such as John Boutte, Carolyn Broussard, and Jamie St. Pierre, she formed her own band to develop original music and present her interpretations of radio classics.
In their live shows, Kennedy Kuntz and the Men of the Hour bring a wide variety of musical genres to the stage, with an emphasis on melody and groove. Kennedy is joined on vocals by Matt Hughes (bass) , Vincent Marini (guitar), and William Schuppert (drums). The core group regularly recruits talented soloists and accessory musicians to add to a powerful live experience and ever-evolving set list.
